Little bit of surgery and you wont have to bother with a MMO to do that koen

Thankfully becoming a fungus is doable in 40k... so I'm set.

I think the chances of them making sisters of battle as a playable race/side are pretty slim.

SM/CSM are all male, orcs are all genderless but rather herp derp macho, so only the Eldar or Tau are going to have female characters. Unless Chaos gets heretics or cultists which could be female, or the space marine chapters have female tech priests. Basically if you want lady bits you're going to have to play IG.

That being said, most game companies don't mind screwing lore for the sake of gaming population. I wouldn't be surprised to see female Space Marines running around with bows in their hair for the sake of interesting a wider range of the fairer sex.

Who knows, boarsman, maybe your space fungus can have bows in their hair, too

Chaos marines can be pink!

Those who follow Tzeentch anyway. I'm pretty sure they're still rather butch and you wouldn't want to piss one off though.

Chaos heretics and cultists have females, they always have. Eldar are pretty much all female, even the so-called males are more female that most human women.

I think they'll pretty much HAVE to screw the lore over to make it work, although just giving the various races a female version doesn't seem like such a bad idea to me. The only ones I can't really picture it working for are Orks.

The moral of the story will probably be, if you're a horny nerd and seek females, play Imperial guard...

So Ex, I hear you're going to play imperial guard?

I see what you did tharr!

The hilarious thing? Guys get pissy when they can't be male characters (they just want the option, of course, they're still going to roll female). It happened with WAR sorcs. There were more guys bitching about having to play a chick than there were lore nuts bitching about the absurdity of it all.

I foresee some pimply teen crying that if he wants to play a howling banshee he has to make a female character. We all know he's going to make a female character anyway, but to not have the option is sexist!

Also, we all know the female Orks are the gobbos ;)

There's nothing more manly than a crazy, insane gobbo with a pointy stick, NOTHING!

As for male howling banshees, that just doesn't work for me at all... Their whole mode of attack is to run at the enemy while screaming at the top of their lungs which is then amplified so it stuns them, I really don't see that working very well with a man in the costume.

I don't remember male sorcs in WAR, they all looked female to me, even the "males".

I guess part of the problem is most of the lore for this stuff was written, or based on writings, which were created when being sexist favored males instead of females. I say instead of, because it seems to have turned the other way now, or is getting there.

How are they going to handle all of the SM and CSM characters being clones of a chapter leader? Most people care more about character customisability than actually gameplay these days. This isn't going to be Warhammer 40,000 Online, it's going to be "Kind Of Reminds You Of Warhammer 40,000 Online".

Honestly, though, I'd live with that for the goddamn change from pew pew fireballs and swords (which are still there, just sort of hiding behind all the tanks).
